In many instances I really feel a pictures tells a thousands words and this for me is summed up in one word - WOW!
I had wanted to try out Sharpie nail out having watched thousands of youtube videos on how to I felt my time was here to give this a shot.
My best idea here was to give the very first go a try on some demo sticks so I wasn't trying to do it on myself as usual.
I gave three different colourways a go, first a turquoise style, then neutrals/browns and finally a nice multicolour pinks/purples/yellows.
I found it pretty easy, I am a perfectionist so this style isn't the best for that as each time you do it, it turns out differently - I am not a fan of the non uniform look but for this I know it works and does look good.
After I tried out the different colours I decided two feature nails on each hand in the nice birhgts would compliment my new bright pink Gelish shade 'Make you blink pink'.
I did the sharpie art on a white base - two coats, then sharpie colours, some alcohol to blend and then more colour and another blend prior to a top coat.
Sadly this mani didn't seem to last very well from two different angles really - colour fade, most of the yellow had bleached and gone by day 4?! and then edges did lift which I can only put down to the alcohol eating away at the seal I normally get in my gel manis.
I will give this another go at some point but sadly I love the effect but a lot of effort if they don't last.
