My latest gel nail art manicure is a little art deco inspired and I got the idea from pinterest and have been waiting a while to try it out.
I finally got the perfect shades of gel to replicate and try the design for myself and I am really pleased with the outcome.
As with all gel manis I did my usual prep of the nail before a base coat of 'structure'.
I then painted two coats of 'Expresso Yourself' curing each coat in turn until I had my base set and ready to start the art.
I then painted two coats of 'Expresso Yourself' curing each coat in turn until I had my base set and ready to start the art.
I then used 'Patent Leather Pump' to create the gold shape, I used the standard polish brush with less product on to create the correct shape, then went over it once the guide was there with more colour.
Once cured, I found a thin second application of the gold made it stand out more which gave a better base for the black to stand out off.
Once a second coat was all cured it was time for a repeat process with 'Black Stretch Limo' for the finishing touch. This coat I found much easier to apply as the shape guide was already in place from the gold and so all that was left was a top coat of 'Brilliance' and wipe the sticky residue off with your Lint wipe and 'Purify'.
Voila! A set of Art Deco inspired nails.
